Update: SWPPP Permit Revision - MPCA Stormwater Permit

On July 6, 2009, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (PCA) is scheduled to release its draft Multisector General Permit (MSGP) for industrial stormwater discharges. This NPDES permit represents a significant shift in stormwater pollution prevention (SWPPP) compliance requirements for Minnesota industries and other affected sectors, such as transportation, POTWs, landfills, etc. Based on MPCA estimates, as many as 10,000 facilities will require this permit.

In July, Caltha LLP will be hosting seminars in several cities across Minnesota to provide information on the proposed permit and rule changes, and steps facilities can take to reduce their impact.
