Tour of Minnesota Recycling Facility - October Hazardous Material Professionals Meeting

The North Star Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) is announcing its October General Membership Meeting. This month’s meeting will be a tour of a recycling facility, Green Lights Recycling, Inc., located in Blaine, Minnesota.

Facility Tour
This session will tour the Green Lights Recycling (GLR) facility in Blaine where de-manufactures fluorescent lamps at its processing facility. GLR also manages all types of electronic equipment including televisions, computers, computer monitors, office equipment and more. GLR recycles spent fluorescent lamps, HID lamps, lighting ballasts, capacitors, transformers, all types of batteries, mattresses, tires, appliances and other special and universal waste products. Materials are recycled and reclaimed for re-use in other applications.

Monthly General Meetings are open to all North Star Chapter members. Anyone can become a member at the North Star Chapter website, or print out the membership application ( http://ahmp-nsc.org/pdfs/memberap.pdf  ). You do not need to be a Certified Hazardous Material Manager, or a member of the national AHMP group to be a member of the North Star Chapter.
