Inspections of stormwater detention ponds, infiltration basins and other stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) can be required by stormwater permits issued by State NPDES-authorized agencies. Watershed District, County or City agencies responsible for building permits, flood control or water quality management can also require annual stormwater BMP and storm water inspections as a condition of permit issuance.
